Cookie Policy
Last updated June 3, 2026
Introduction
This page describes the cookies and similar technologies that Crescentic LLC uses in connection with Lacuna Index (the "Service"). The short version: we use the minimum necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the platform, and nothing else.
What we use
- Authentication session cookies set by our backend provider (Supabase Auth) so that you stay signed in to the subscriber console at
/app. These are strictly necessary — without them, you would have to re-enter your password on every page load. - LocalStorage entries placed by Supabase in your browser to hold and refresh your session token. These behave like session cookies in practice and serve the same purpose.
- Communication-preference cookies — small first-party entries that remember your Weekly Brief opt-in choice and followed-sectors selection so they persist across visits.
What we do not use
- No Google Analytics or any other third-party web-analytics tracker.
- No Facebook Pixel, no advertising or remarketing pixels.
- No third-party behavioral-tracking SDKs.
- No cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
Your choices
Because the cookies and storage entries we set are strictly necessary for the Service to function, we do not present a consent banner. If you disable these in your browser, the Service will not work — you will not be able to sign in or read research behind the paywall. If you do not wish to have any cookies or storage entries set, the only way to opt out is to not use the Service.
Public marketing pages under lacunaindex.com that do not require you to sign in do not set any cookies of their own.
Changes
If we ever add additional cookies — for example, an analytics tool to understand product usage — we will update this page, update the "Last updated" date, and (where required by law) present an appropriate consent prompt before any non-essential cookie is set.
